The Older Elementary Community (for ages 9 to 12 years, grades 4 through 6) builds on the skills and independence developed in the younger years. Montessori-trained guides provide individualized lessons and guidance, allowing each child to learn at their own pace and deepen their understanding of the work and their relationships with peers and guides. The program integrates imagination, abstraction, language, and social development with advanced studies in the arts, sciences, and cultural exploration of the universe. These experiences strengthen critical thinking, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility toward the wider world.
Our low student-to-teacher ratio allows guides to provide meaningful support and attention to each learner, helping students build confidence as they prepare for the challenges and growth of adolescence.
