The Younger Elementary Community (for ages 6 to 9 years, grades 1 through 3) builds upon the strong foundation developed in the Primary years. In this environment, Montessori-trained guides support each child’s natural curiosity and growing independence through individualized lessons and collaborative work. Students begin to move from concrete learning to deeper levels of imagination, reasoning, and abstraction. The program blends key elements of the Montessori approach, including language, social development, and creative exploration, with rich studies in the arts, sciences, and cultural understanding of the larger universe. These experiences inspire imagination, foster independence, and encourage a lifelong love of discovery.
